The CropLife Canada Manufacturing Code of Practice was developed in 1986 and became mandatory for all member company facilities in 1996. These facilities must undergo annual third-party audits to ensure they meet or exceed protocols in four key areas: Occupational Health, Facility Safety, Environmental Standards and Performance Benchmarking. Each facility must achieve a 70 percent score in each competency area to receive a certificate of compliance from CropLife Canada each year.
